CALGARY, CANADA
I know I say that I have a lot of favourite days: Christmas, the day I got married, my wife’s birthday, but #March30 is definitely up there because its my birthday! And just like I love all holidays and all celebrations, I have no exception for my own birthday. Although this year, there was no big bash, no special outfit, no formal invitation, not even a trip (because of the major things that are about to happen in our lives!!), I still thoroughly enjoyed my birthday. First off, I always take it off from work. So even though it was a Wednesday, I got to sleep in today, and was woken up with a giant slab of cake, assembled by my wife but baked by her mother – it was a replica of the delicious cake she baked for our wedding! Cake for breakfast? Only on your birthday! Then off to brunch with my bebe, a spot of shopping, a lunch date with an old friend at our new favourite bakery, shooting some photos, and then tonight we are off to dinner at my parents’ house where I get to celebrate with our puppy! Bebe also made sure I was peppered with little gifts and cards throughout the day (although we are on a strict no-gifts pact this year!!!!) What else could be better?
