One of our last days in New York, we decided to venture through Soho and brunch, shop and peruse – you know, do what the locals do. It truly felt like walking through a movie set, and thus the shades and the gloves were kept on all morning – it was very necessary.
There’s something about rocking all white on a bright summer day that makes a dude feel so fresh! Paired with a pair of deadstock fresh-out-the-box sneakers and you’re ready to walk around seriously feelin’ yourself. We are so excited that the sun is shining and we can start to soak in much needed Vitamin D.
The last time I wore this shirt, somebody commented that I looked like I didn’t “belong”. To me, that is the greatest compliment. Why fit in, when we were made to stand out? Go out and make a statement and be someone who is remembered, not easily forgotten in the crowd. And make sure there is just enough naysayers around you to continue to motivate to you to be best “non-belonging” version of yourself.
The city so nice, they named it twice! Something about the NYC air made you want to wake up, be dope, go out, meet people, eat, drink and be merry. Truly, with no exaggeration, there is an unmistakable energy in that city that pulsates through it’s core, and we were definitely infected. The best / worst part is, the itch for the energy is impossible to shake once you return to wherever you came from.
The sheer and utter convenience of having everything you might need for a day of city-touring at the tip of your fingertips is the reason why I usually tote around a portfolio clutch. And this cherry red number from Balenciaga that we picked up in Paris a few years ago is the perfect understated statement …
When you’re a student in university, sneakers are not a style statement, they are a necessity. Nobody wants to trek around in boots while running between lectures and studying late in the Law Library – well, not regular folk anyway. Point is, after the degree was awarded, we didn’t think we would be seeing sneakers again for a long time as it was time to “grow up” and be all adult-like… who were we kidding? These AM90s are officially the go-to show for all dudes out there, don’t you think?

This Saint Laurent inspired coat was a killer steal we found in Europe last December, and managed to save until WMCFW. This was definitely a more relaxed look and thankfully the weather calmed down enough to facilitate this stand-alone look. The burgundy Chelsea Boots were also a crowd pleaser and thankfully were comfortable enough to run around to shows.
After Miss. Jailhouse Blues busted her all-striped look, I knew this diamond and gold-bullet belt two piece needed to make an appearance. Out of all my looks for WMCFW, this was by far the most excitingly eye-catching but also the most comfortable. Everyone needs to find a dope sweat suit.
