Today, my father turned 60 years old. As much as I thought that this would make me feel old (talk about self-absorbed!), I actually feel very … present. So not old, and not young, but very much today – I guess in the moment. I am proud of the accomplishments my father and by extension my family has achieved, and it was amazing to celebrate with his closest friends and immediate family. Plus, my fiancée and sister love any excuse to don the sarees.
