Today was my 26th Birthday. It was on a cold and snowy Sunday, but I haven’t ever felt more warm and cozy inside. I have been showered with greetings, messages, calls and comments; enamoured with gifts and affections; overwhelmed with gratitude for the kind words of those around me. I am so blessed to have had the privilege of deeply connecting with so many diverse people, and to see everyone come together to celebrate the day I was born is truly heart-warming. Although cold, it was a beautiful weekend and although I’m not exactly thrilled about getting older, in the same token I am not the least bit sad or resentful. I am incredibly proud of what I have accomplished this past year, and in my life thus far, and only look forward to next year with hope and excitement for what’s to come. Thank you to everyone who made this weekend so special for me.
