MY PARENTS ON THEIR WEDDING DAY, CIRC. 1981
Today commemorates thirty glorious years in the lives of my parents. On this day three decades ago, they spoke those famous vows to each other, said their “I Do”s, and signed their marriage license. Little did they know where life was taking them, or what the four children they eventually had would mean to them. The relationship between my mom and dad is inspiring and motivational for me as I begin my relationship, which seems like a baby compared to my parents’ union. Despite the hustles and bustle of Christmas and my finals, my family and I are heading off to Banff, Alberta to have brunch at the Fairmount Banff Springs and take a sleigh-ride in the mountain country side. And, of course, some anniversary surprises along the way!
