Mood Music

  • July 7, 2008

You know how sometimes you’re just feeling sorta blue, sorta alone, sorta cut-off from the world, and you almost want to listen to music which puts you more in that state? Some people would argue that when you begin to feel like it, its never advisable to heighten your shitty mood with music which will bring you down, but what we should consider is this; its better to let your body become engulfed in the feelings of loneliness, the feelings of despair. This way, you can get it out of your system, be “sad” for a few hours, and then leave that feeling, and go on with your life.

Anyway, I’ve found the perfect album for said depressing afternoons or evenings, where you just lay in bed, letting your iPod dock blast melodramatic beats to the sound of your heart. Or, er, maybe that’s just me hahahaha

Discover Nick Lachey – What’s Left Of Me

This CD, which was released in 2006, was written by Nick right after Jessica Simpson announced that their marriage was over. Needless to say, there is some amazing lyrical work and some heart-wrenching beats, which really will bring you to ask yourself, what’s left of me? Definitely an intense listen.
