It’s Wedding Season again, and luckily for us, an Indian wedding invitation is awaiting attendance. And we all know what that means… No not loud bhangara music, open bar and heart-palpitating butter chicken; it also means the perfect opportunity to discover the latest in Bollywood trends. There has definitely been a nod to old Bollywood glam, with frocks coming the floor, the disappearance of any form of long scarf (dupetta), and a big focus on the attention-to-detail embroidery. The fabrics have also been rich and glamorous, and less “flowy” and whimsical. Very Alexander McQueen circa 2009 meets Valentino couture of today, don’t you think?
