The morning after peoples’ wedding, I have heard that some feel a sense of loss, some a bit of post-planning depression. For us, waking up the day after our main day of events, I was overjoyed, excited and so content. I woke up beside my wife, and our room service was wheeled in. Also, we actually ate carbs! We ate the croissants and buns, and we loved it. We also got ready in all our all-white outfits including matching “JUST” / “MARRIED” white leather jackets, and met our wedding guests at a quaint restaurant in Old Town Square, directly opposite the church we had gotten married in the day before. We also left a Love Lock on a small well in a side alley from the Town Square, and we gave every single person a Thank You card for coming all the way to Prague. In Pakistan, the day after the wedding is called the Walima and is hosted by the groom’s parents as a chance for them to showcase their new daughter-in-law – so needless to say my parents were very proud of Monika that morning. As soon as we finished lunch, we checked out of our beautiful hotel and the car was waiting to take us to the airport for our honeymoon.
