Today marks perhaps one of the biggest accomplishments in my life thus far. The Golden Key above will open the door to hopes and dreams being realized, to years of saving, stress, searching and speculating finally coming to personification in a physical structure. It represents a commitment, an official step into adulthood, an accolade by capitalist society of being a good, informed, tax-paying and financially sound member of the community. This key means so many things to me, and thus I am even more overjoyed that I get to present this as a gift to my girl, to share the responsibility of this key and all that it holds for our future together.
