Although brief, our time in Amsterdam a few days ago was splendid. The weather cooperated (for the most part), and in our tight time window, we managed to do everything I love about Holland: shop, eat, lounge, smoke, drink and people watch! We visited my favourite shoe store in Europe, we sipped on espressos, we shopped the River Island sale, and we took the express train – it was absolutely the perfect Dutch experience. As many of you know, I have a soft spot for the Netherlands as I spent a few weeks living and working there back in 2009, so needless to say, it was very good to be back!
