As you can imagine, I am a perpetual over-packer. Well I guess I can be labelled an over-everything. I usually over-think, tend to over-plan, definitely over-eat, and obviously over-love. So with that in mind, I made a concious effort to realign my packing habits and take a fresh approach to my upcoming Autumn holiday in Europe. So no take-one-of-everything, but rather, find my version of “basics” (leather pants, statement draped collar coat, etc), and find ways to re-work. Not re-work due to luggage constraints, but re-work for the pure creative fun of showcasing yourself to a brave new anonymous world with only what you packed in one 28″ hardshell suitcase. And I’ve been taking a massive lesson in minimalism and style from Zara Men’s this season. Their nod to layering, subtle colouring and emphasis on detailing is quickly shaping up to be my style mood board for Paris!
