#Endoxists25th

  • March 30, 2013

2006 / 2007 / 2008 / 2009 / 2010 / 2011 / 2012

For some reason, I always think backwards from the current day to my 18th birthday. Everything before that has been meshed into a large memory of high school and teen adolescence. Everything from 2006/my 18th birthday onward is measured by year, by age. There has been such monumental things happening each year since then that it only makes sense. And although my 18th birthday does indeed feel like it was such a long time ago, I still remember exactly how the birthday preparations were going that day, what I was wearing and eating, who I was texting. This is why I felt the above chronological photo timeline was appropriate to post on my 25th birthday. So much changed between each of those photos, and further, those photos were taken at such diverse locations, from Calgary to Toronto to Las Vegas; they truly did mean it when they said a photo can speak a thousand words.

I’m not sure why I feel this way today, but I think most things have come full circle for me. People around me are turning into responsible young adults; babies, engagements, weddings, careers, mortgages, vacations, designer purses. And I am proud to be part of this generation, and part of that progress. I have truly never felt as content and accomplished as I do today. And for that, I do have a lot of people to thank, and I’m hoping that I do get an opportunity to show my appreciation to all of those people today and for the rest of this year.

Happy Birthday Endoxist!
