Dear Dan and Dean,
You both know that you are my hands down favorite Canadian designers, and a huge inspiration for making the type of fashion leaps you have taken. You fully comprehend – I would hope – that you have legitimately put Canada, the maple leaf, hockey masks and jerseys on the FASHION MAP. And I want you to know that it broke my heart to have to turn down the invitation to your menswear show a few seasons ago. But alas, enough formalities. I am writing to you to ask why? Why would you design the deadliest and most bad-ass shoes of the season, and list them at such an attainable price-point for what they are? How dare you, as designers, offer something so needed in the industry right now; fashion forward, statement-making and – most importantly – attainable footwear, straight from Milan? Just stop Dan and Dean. Well actually, never stop, but just stop.
Be still my heart, and stiller my wallet. Your time will come.
