I’ve always assessed the busyness of my life based on my capacity to read for leisure. While I did a lot – a lot – of reading through University, that wouldn’t count “for leisure” although I much enjoyed some of the readings. The last time I remember reading for leisure was sometime in June or July of this year, after year-end had passed at the Firm and I was left with nothing but an 8:00 – 5:00 job and a blog to play around with. I would settle in after dinner to a good book and the hours would disappear. On my Bucket/Goals lists for this year, I specifically listed a bunch of books – both old and new – which I wanted to get through. But somehow, I always find a way to busy my life, with random “projects” I take on and get excited about – be it work or family or business or internet related. All in all, the last couple of months, I have had no time to settle in with a good book, and coming into December, I highly doubt more time will be made. But alas, one can dream…
