I was graciously invited to attend a new fashion event going on in Calgary over the next couple of months: Runway Monthly. Deemed to be the fix that fashion addicts can use to crush their craving for fashion, and marketed to be interesting for those in the industry and also those (like me) who work at a firm during the day but still love fashion, the event is open to all Calgarians really. I walked over on Tuesday evening was pleasantly surprised at the wicked turn out that the event had garnered, and the street style photographers were on the hunt (more on that later)! The event had a vibrant host, a trunk show featuring local Calgary designers, and two runway shows featuring ready-to-wear, along with a show styled by local stylists. The image above shows what a blogger’s perspective looks like at these kind of things. I met some amazing people that evening – this city is overflowing with some very talented people, passionate for fashion and hungry for success.I left inspired and am certainly looking forward to the next event in May.
