I checked out The Core’s ‘Twas The Night celebrations a few days ago. A $15 ticket got you admission to the semi-exclusive event, with a full spread buffet on the second floor, ballerinas and elves running around, door-crasher prizes and tons of sales/deals to get a head start on Christmas shopping. My little brother, sister, B and I all anticipated busy parkades, unruly customers and an overall sense of apprehension – and that is exactly what we got. Calgary’s downtown core is an interesting crowd, and those who frequent it even more thought-provoking. But more on that later.
