Introducing a brand new concept to the menswear game in Calgary; Heroes is a boutique-style store set in bustling Chinook Center Mall, which offers premium brand name merchandise with top quality customer service and high standards of excellence. I was lucky enough to be present on the opening day, and the whole place was buzzing with an excitement that cannot be explained. With a motorcycle up for auction, as well as free Heroes tee-shirts up for grabs, there was plenty of activity going on.
Offering brands like Hugo Boss Orange, Red and Green Label, J. Lindenberg, Diesel, Jack & Jones, Rock & Republic, Suit, Alternative Apparel, Diesel Black Gold, Converse by John Vervatos, Them Atelier, True Religion, Levis, Fred Perry and many others, you would be hard pressed not to find something for yourself in this cozy store. The concept behind Heroes shouldn’t be confused with “Superheroes”, however. We are talking about everyday Heroes for society, both known and unknown, who somehow in someway make a difference.
The wall space in the interior is covered with inspirational paintings and slogans, but most importantly, local Heroes are featured on the giant entrance walls, and changed once every 3 to 4 weeks. Currently, the Wall features firefighters from District 2 of Calgary, because what greater Hero is there then those who consistently risk their own livelihood for the safety of others. Seriously folks, this store is worth checking out, and trust me, you will not be disappointed.
