I recently read a tweet that went something like this: “remember when athleisure wasn’t a thing, and shorts and sneakers were reserved for the gym? life was so much simpler then”, and I have to say to a certain degree sometimes I completely agree with this sentiment. It used to be simple to know when you were dressed to go to work, when you were attending an event, and when you were working out. But then again, self-expression and unique style is all the rage right now, and therefore, shorts and hats all of a sudden have become a staple everywhere, including at Fashion Week. If you told me last year that I would be attending Shows during Milan Fashion Week rocking a pair of Nike sneakers, a tee-shirt and a leather baseball cap, I would be offended. But here I am, loving this look and currently in complete agreement with everything athlieusre. Advanced Sportswear for the win!
