The very last show of WMCFW this season was the highly-anticipated and well attended Mikael D, where ready-to-wear meets couture. This season, he presented a collection highly influenced by Chinese culture, with a pseudo-dragon dance and drum solo to start the show, the models walking down a shiny red (freshly installed) runway, and the Chinese Samurai “high-bun” on each girl rocking their dress. And the dresses? Intricate detail, lush fabrics, and exquisite cuts resulted in breathtaking silhouettes and truly magical moments. This show was definitely the highlight of our WMCFW attendance!
