Back when I was posting about London Fashion Week, I made reference to the upcoming release of Burberry Sport, and also, on my recent trip to Banff with Mrs. Euro-FF & Pharrell, I noted that he was wearing a piece from the Burberry Sport collection. And now I have full details on this new edition to the prestigious house of Burberry, all of which is now available worldwide via their online boutique, and at key Burberry retailers. The concept is simple, almost comparable to Boss by Hugo Boss (Green Label). While Prorsum is for dressing up, London is for the office and Brit is for the weekend, Sport is available for those casual days when you would really rather just kick it in a comfortable hoody. Well, Christopher Bailey thinks, why not let it be a hoody from one of London’s top designers? And why not indeed. The new collection for spring offers a relaxed silhouette, utilizing new technologies, as per Burberry tradition, to create and manufacture its technical cotton tri-layer, lightweight nylon laminate and performance silk with natural wicking properties. All of you boarders and skiers out there will love this stuff. I got to see some of this collection first-hand while I was up at Burberry Global Headquarters in London, and all though its not my cup of tea, the pieces are dope, and carry with them the underscore of a high-fashion house – in a good way.
