Listen up folks: there is a strange thing that happened at #NYFW this past run! This time, the industry has really gone too far – it looks like models are strutting down the runway but have completely lost their hands! … all jokes aside, although we loved so many of the collections we saw at #NYFW, the very interesting trend that stood out to me almost immediately was this long, mega-oversized sleeve that completely encompassed the arms, wrists, hands, and fingers of many models strutting down those catwalks.
Perhaps the designers wanted to provide us with a quick place to keep our Smartphones and some spare change? Or maybe its a nod to the chilly temperatures that accompany Fall/Winter temperatures? Regardless, I’m strangely very into these floor-sweeping sleeves. Its very… punk meets glam meets chic meets hipster, no?
