So yeah, an Update is definitely in order, no? The whole slew of posts within the past 24 hours certainly calls for one. Yeee
GYA 2009 I have now officially posted everything I wanted to in regards to the amazing conference I had the chance to attend last month (can’t believe that was already a month ago, to this day!). Overall, as I’ve said, I was definitely blessed with the opportunity, and I hope that I really got the most I could from it. From some very deep friendships, good eats, experiencing Edmonton nightlife, adding three people to my BlackBerry Messenger contact list, and networking from the East to the West coast, it was an unforgettable experience. GYA 2011 here we come. Lets rock Winnipeg kids!
Euro-FF Never did I imagine the Filipino guy from the pool in the Dominican would end up coming up to Canada to say wuddup to me and my friends a few short weeks later, but like we always say, God works in mysterious ways, no? All this time I been playing trial-and-error with my friendships, and one of the my greatest best friends just strolled up to me and asked if I was from LA. And the rest as they say is history. As per the posts (and with more to come), I did get to enjoy my vacation within my own city, while showing Mr. Euro-FF a brief and compacted taste of what my life in Calgary is really like. I had an absolutely dope time, as did he, and I really appreciate all of you who came out for me (and for him) to better his trip.
Fashion Who would have thought Calgary would boost their own very well organized Fashion Week type event? I know there’s been some in the past, but this one has gotten substantial coverage, and ironically, one of my YouthScape pilot projects (the Calgary Parkour Group) is involved in the opening ceremony, as well as occupying one of the spots. So come out and show support for local art guys. Schedule for CFW09 in the sidebar, kids.
LIFE So ya, that’s been my life the past couple days. Needless to say, I’m left with the wind knocked out of me. Decisions, contemplations, pros-and-cons, perspectives, perceptions, opinions, relationships, everything right now.. is a simple “I don’t know man”. Because on the real, I really don’t know. Been praying really hard the last couple days. Read this at 3:00 am last night, and man, did I need this encouragement: The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
