I blogged about this exact photo, taken via the BBC Blog, back in January of this year. Its astonishing how much a person can learn in a short period of time. Six months ago, I called that gorgeous piece of bag porn a “Hermes croc tote”. Forgive me, as I had yet to discover the magical allure of Hermès, or the Haute à Courroies. And don’t get me wrong, I’m still far from an expert, and I wont bore you with copy-and-pasted facts about the famous Hermès HAC (there’s tons of other blogs with loads of trivia-filled information for that!). I just wanted to introduce you to the custom-made purple crocodile skin Hermès Haute à Courroies in 55 cm that (obviously) Pharrell Williams commissioned Hermès to create for him sometime last year, and which was ready for pick up sometime at the beginning of this year. The bag, empty, weighs close to 10 lbs. Mark my words Blogosphere, when I graduate, THIS will be MY EVEREST. Just in time, the Hermès boutique is set to open in Holt Renfrew at the brand new Calgary Flagship Store in October. Maybe if I get on the waitlist now, they should have a HAC ready for purchase by the time I graduate? In case any of feel the need to be super generous, I’ll take the 55 cm size in a bold orange or red, thanks.
