Burberry Prorsum Men’s RTW Spring/Summer 2011

I’m still kicking myself for declining the invitation to watching this show in Milano last month. By far, this is my favorite collection to come out of Italy for the upcoming season. A lot of people have posted a lot about these amazing clothes, and I don’t blame them. Christopher Baily literally nailed this one down. Every trend-setting look for next year is bang-on wearable, with the right mix of edginess. We’ve got the to-die-for gladiator sandal meets sneaker paired with crisp pants. Throw on chains and studs, and studs and then some more studs, and you’ve got IYBC staring with disbelief at the sickest runway show. The styling, the hair, the accessories, the bags (omgosh the amazing bags!), the shoes, even the actual bad-ass catwalk are just right. I sincerely like the direction that Bailey is taking Burberry in, all the while staying true to the rich heritage of the fashion power house, with the constant re-invention of the iconic trench.
