The Most Acceptable Christmas Present: Anything Chanel

I'm not sure where it came from or how it all started, but ever since I have been dating Monika (we are talking back in 2010), I ended up giving her a gift from Chanel. Not always a major gift, sometimes a lipstick or a fragrance, once a wallet I think. But regardless, in the later years, we started joking about how there would be no Christmas without Chanel. Sounds a bit pretentious, but it between her and I it kind of stuck, and then I always joked about one Christmas buying her a Le Boy bag. So then it almost became customary that I run to Chanel and pick something up for her to unwrap on Christmas morning.

This year, since we traveled to Glasgow to spend Christmas in Scotland, Monika and I actually had our own mini Christmas (edit: gift exchange) the night before we flew out. So she really had no idea that I was smuggling this package in my hand luggage and bringing it all the way to our hotel room, to surprise her with on Christmas morning!

Note the detail on the hand-made card and matching gift tag: your boy knows what's up! I could tell that Monika was so stunned and so curious to see what exactly this year's Chanel-Christmas gift would be.

Inside the bag: the signature Chanel shopping bag, and inside that, a very chic eyebrow kit, complete with logo tweezers and brushes, and a triple palette of shadows (I think?) to craft the perfect French girl brows!

I have to say, our "No Christmas Without Chanel" definitely takes a ton of gift-giving guesswork out of the equation. I always know (and I guess so does she) that every year, there will at least be a chic CC gift waiting for her. What are some of your Christmas hacks? What did you give this year?!
