Globe Trottin’

  • December 26, 2012

I know my loyal readers are patiently waiting to see what I concocted this year for B’s Christmas present. We had a very strategic plan made for what 2012 what bring to us, and of course, the plan was re-worked and re-manipulated and as life continues to teach the both of us, the best you can do is roll with the punches and move forward. One of the major things to cross of the 2012 list was to TRAVEL, to take both long and short trips, to visit both of our families, to make vacation with our friends. And of course, the travel thing was the first to be crossed off our list, as it still falls under the “luxury” list of things (fashion for us is not a luxury, but a necessity). So for Christmas this year, I decided to take B on a mystical journey through our imagination. She first unwrapped a giant silver world globe with different cities we dream of visiting highlighted via pins. And then she was introduced to the three vintage travel trunks stuffed with parcels from around the world, wrapped in their respective city maps. The actual gifts were representative of their city of origin; think Hugo Boss for Berlin, Prada for Milan, Links of London and Jo Malone for London, Chanel and Dior for Paris. We truly traveled far and wide in our dreamland, going from Bali (John Hardy) to Los Angeles (Juicy Couture), from Houston (Tom Ford) to Stockholm (H&M), from Montreal (Aldo) to Vienna (Swarovski). This travel/global themed Christmas was such fun to execute, and even more rewarding to watch being unwrapped. Remember to click “READ MORE” for a ton of photos!
