Well, not really. The firm I work at is taking all its employees and their families for a Ski Weekend to Kananaskis Country, a quaint mountainside jurisdiction 45 minutes outside of the Calgary city limits. And most of my colleagues I’ve spoken with aren’t actually hitting the slopes, but instead are opting for the hot tub, swimming pool, nearby Banff, or straight to the bar! The day is followed by a cocktail reception and dinner, with brunch the next day. An excellent opportunity to mingle with colleagues without the formality of work. This will be the first of hopefully many Firm events, and I’m so excited to see what all the hype is about. And to be honest, I’m looking forward to getting out of the city and enjoying the natural beauty so close to Calgary. And from what I understand regarding the reputation of the Firm and such events, I’m sure it will be a night to remember.
