This Wednesday, September 24 (also my dad’s 54 birthday), Gucci unveiled its Spring Summer 2009 Women’s Collection in Milan.
While the casual wear headed in the same direction as most other Spring/Summer collections this season, the dresses and gowns by Creative Director Frida Gianinni were, I thought, stunning. Some resembling the traditional Indian Sari, in both texture and sewing techniques, the dresses flowed on the runway, in vibrant colors. Big patterns weren’t seen throughout the show, and the wrapped platform sandal has made a huge comeback. Let’s see what’s in store for women’s handbags this coming season.
