After investing so much lately in dope dress-shoes, loafers and boots, I figured I would venture into the world of luxury socks. And while the obvious choice would be Paul Smith, I kind of wanted to go in a different direction, so I visited Menswear at Holt Renfrew to spoil myself with some Happy Socks! Produced in a family-owned factory in Turkey, Happy Socks pride themselves on their Lonati Italian weaving machines, controlled by computers to ensure precision looming. The toe-caps of the socks, however, are hand-sewn, to ensure that these socks feel like gloves. Sounds good enough for me. Can’t wait to rock these bad boys. Look out for an upcoming Style Staples!
