Being away from my car, my phone, my bed, my bathroom, and my full wardrobe for close to two months was hard enough, but harder still was being away from my friends and family. It was so amazing seeing everyone I love once again. Funny how much things change in such a short period of time. Well, I suppose it wasn’t too short of a period, now was it? But funnier still how some things, some people, never change, despite the time or the distance. Anyway, I had the wonderful privilege of accompanying my best friend’s wife, Mrs. Euro-FF, back up to Canada with me from Amsterdam, and, as usual, my friends stepped up to make her feel as comfortable and at home as possible. We did dope things while she was here on her short visit, and of course, I had to take her to my “playground” for Summer 2009, Opus on 8th. Mashup Mondays turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and with the exception of the randomness at the end of the night (“how sincere do you want me to make it?!”), it was nice to be back.
