Quickly becoming one of my favorite online reads, Fashion Weekly is a brand new fashion concept based out of Toronto, in Canada. It is a constantly updated online magazine that has all the latest news, information and gossip from the red carpet and the runway. And yes, there really is a lot of sites on the internet that might offer the same tag-line, but it really is refreshing to read what we are all so accustomed to from a distinctly Canadian point of view. Whats even more exciting is the “Fashion Boot Camp” that Fashion Weekly is hosting this coming July in the heart of downtown Toronto, on the University of Toronto campus. The intense training camp aims to better educate budding fashionistas in everything to do with the Industry. Expect amazing guest speakers from Toronto fashion including Robin Kay from the Fashion Design Council of Canada. The camp will also feature Toronto scenic trips, assignments and fashion challenges with prizes, and an internship job fair at the last week of camp. The tuition price, which I find extremely reasonable, covers food and accommodation. I sincerely believe that this could be an amazing experience for those involved. Click here for more information.
