IYBC Update #57: Saturday Night In

  • April 5, 2009
It seems like ages since I spent a Saturday Night, at home, by myself, listening to music and just being me in my room. Honestly, it’s probably been a good few months that I’ve had this luxury, and I am truly enjoying myself tonight. A small slew of blog posts, a head start on my Religion Paper (due this coming Wednesday), continuing work on the UNICEF Appreciation Night being hosted by yours truly, and some much needed left-overs/Family Guy later, I find myself ready to call it a night – at 12:00 am. Ha, this is usually when my night begins.

Balance is apparently one of the most important fundamentals of Westernized Buddhism, but in actual Buddhism, the concept of a Middle-Way is taught; a happy medium between both extremes, usually self-deprivation and self-indulgence. I guess I can look at my Life as a sort of searching, for that Middle-Way. In comparison to the festivities of last weekend, this weekend would most definitely be considered total opposite, but then where is this Middle-Way?

Does it even matter, though? Like I spoke of in my Wise-Words, why can’t we all just enjoy this moment, and live for the now. Of course, planning for the future, even tomorrow, is important, and actually necessary to maintain a normal life, but sometimes, in certain situations, isn’t it best to let things be, and see where the winds of time take them? I know you feel that way, and like I said to you, it isn’t such a negative thing.

Moving along, a Blog is a reflection of one’s own Life; be it perspectives, outlooks or perceptions – so comparing and contrasting each others’ Blogs doesn’t do anyone any good at all, right? Well, that’s what I feel. That being said, MMTs will keep on doing their thang, and as I’ve said in the past, it really is a form of flattery.

Currently enjoying those wide-awake 3 am emails that I receive nightly, and the fact that she always wears heels. The next two weeks, being the first two of April, the last two of Winter semester, and half of the time before we peace out, means two important things: FOCUS & PRODUCTIVITY. Time for me to go back to my roots and utilize my tried and tested formula for success.

This past week has been the most post-heavy in the history of IYBC. Lets see if this momentum continues? The lady at the Men’s Cologne Counter at Holts loves me; I was picking up something via my 25% discount this weekend, and when I unwrapped it tonight, I found the following cologne samples: The Beat via Burberry, F pour homme by Ferragmo via Salvatore Farragmo, Extreme via Tom Ford & Kapsule via Karl Lagerfeld; MY FAVORITES! Off-topic, Jurr needs new jeans:

Organic Cotton Bootcut in Polynesia Wash via Seven for all Mankind
or
Rainbow Bobby in Mid Phoenix Wash via True Religion Brand Jeans?
