Since Twitter has been on a strange hiatus, I realized that the Updates were really going to be my only way of conveying what I’ve been up to. On the real, yesterday, Twitter, BlogSpot, Imeem, BlackBerry Messenger AND my iPod were all acting so strange, and it was only then that I realized how damn dependent my generation has sadly become on technology. Anyway, point is, BlogSpot is back, Twitter (web) is good to go, and BBM sort of just fixed it self. Here’s what IYBC has been up to:
06.08.09 Worked at the office as per usual. Had a special lunch-time appointment in downtown. It was an honor to represent YouthScape, but don’t worry, more on that later.
My Church Band practice got cancelled last night, which was perfect because it gave me the opportunity to finally visit the brand new crib of one of my closest friends. At a modest 21 years old, and a stature smaller than mine (probably 5’8?), this man has accomplished so much and been so successful, I’m still in awe. His penthouse suite in one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Downtown Calgary is truly breathtaking, and as soon as he everything is all set, I’ll be posting some dope shots on here for ya’ll to see/admire/lust with me. Foreal tho, good job bro. So proud of you man.
The “rapidly growing metropolis” that is Calgary welcomed a badass new Menswear store unto its fashion market, and I had the privilege to attend the GreyGoose hosted launch party last night. Bloke Clothing Inc is on 1 ST and 12 AVE SW, with high end luxury denim brands, and some brand new tee-shirt and hoodie brands, along with limited edition footwear. But more on that later. Overall, met some amazing people, enjoyed some complimentary GreyGoose, and chilled out to an unknown DJ who was killin‘ the beats! Plus, my entourage was pretty sick, so it was all gravy.
Headed to Earls Tin Palace for some of the best “appys” ever. Haven’t been there since Gwen’s 20th Birthday which was in December, so it was nice to be back. Decided to check out the official Bloke After-Party @ Vinyl, popped into BLVD, and ended off with some more GreyGoose at the Habitat private room. And who would have thought that a Thursday in August would be so enjoyable?
07.08.09 Strangely enough, I woke up today with no hesitation, no problems, and actually made it into the office ahead of time. The YYC Weather definitely did a double take from the last few days of solid downpour. Its nice to see the sun out again. BBQ with my favorite people (mom & dad) tonight, and then heading to the Toast n’ Jam to get some more YouthScape promotion out there. It’ll be a nice and easy Friday, but don’t worry, “what would a weekend in Summer 09 be without checking out the nightlife”? Looking forward to it.
