If I could partake any advice on someone getting married, it would to leave for your honeymoon right after the wedding is finished. For those who can manage this luxury of departing immediately, the honeymoon continues a very special memory for you, filled with thoughts of the vows you just made, with the feeling of love from your friends and family still enveloping you. Immediately after our last wedding event, we checked out of our hotel and headed to the airport, and then boarded our direct flight from Prague to Athens.
For a city that we thought would simply be our gateway to our ‘real’ honeymoon in Santorini, we were thoroughly impressed and shocked by how much we loved Athens! Our hotel was dope, and we found the H&M Studio Collection. We trekked all the way up to the Akropolis, Monika bought a bucket of figs from the famous flea market, and we ate and ate and ate. We completely fell in love with Greek coffee and with MOUSAKA! And we kept stopping and looking at each other like: “um, we just got married two days ago!!” Athens will forever have a very dear place in our hearts.
