How absolutely privileged both B and I are to have had the blessing to visit Oma on the momentous occasion of her 75th birthday! Today was a very special day, filled with love, gifts, surprises, memories and tear-jerking moments. I have met, encountered and read about a lot of remarkable women in my life, but truly Oma is a pivotal example of the importance of hard work, dedication and an open mind. I personally do not have any of my own biological grandmothers alive any longer, but I am so honoured to have met Oma and be able to call her my own Oma.
