My German girlfriend is obviously not accustomed to the large scale event that is coming upon us in the next few days, so to aid in her transition into the official Shaadi – and to keep her calm and collected – I threw together a ‘survival kit’, full of all the necessities that any woman might need in light on an Indian wedding. This kit also included the last minute jewelery items that we postponed buying. Gentlemen, take note: ladies love feeling special (of course), but nothing tugs at their heartstrings more then a personalized girl like this one. Within this beautiful Holt Renfrew hat box, B found a stunning headpiece from New York, a mountain of different sized bangles – both in gold and glass, jewelry sets, safety pins, bobby pins, a jointed-ring, a slew of perfume samples to stash inside clutches/purses, some mints, a pack of bindis, and a gorgeous Giorgio Armani lipstick. And most importantly, she got reassurance, that no matter the circumstances ahead of us, I always prepare for the worst and plan for the best. And with that, let the wedding festivities begin!
