While getting ready, you start with the basics: your top and your bottoms. Then you might add accessories, spray some cologne, pick out a bag, a pair of shoes, maybe shades, and then, with Calgary weather – and the fast approach of Fall – you need to keep in mind that you might need to don a heavy jacket to brave the elements. On more than one occasion this Summer, as I’ve gotten to the last stage of getting ready, I’ve thought to myself: “an oversized black jacket with a statement collar would be perfect with what I’m wearing”. Not only does it offer comfort and warmth, but I mean if you aren’t able to take off your jacket the entire day, you’re still making a fashion statement, with either the collar laid flat, or buttoned all the way up. Cue the Fisherman Jacket via Harmon: everything I’ve been looking for in a dope fall jacket. 100% cotton with an elongated front button up body. Now I’m on the hunt for it at the H&Ms and Zaras of the world. Let’s hope I see something like this quick or I might just have to splurge on this gorgeous style staple.
