Maison Martin Margiela, Fall 2012 Couture
No matter how much time has passed, and how many new collections appear and re-interpretations come along, there is something about this specific Couture collection from years ago that still speaks volumes to me. The re-worked vintage materials used to craft the clothes, juxtaposed with bejeweled alien-like masks, the eerie beauty of it all. Sometimes its good to look back and seek inspiration from things past – I guess that’s the beauty of art, it can continuously inspire us, evoke new ideas and ways of thinking. Also, I always love to show respect to great couturiers like Margiela. So that’s that, enjoy the beautiful shots above and let your mind wander to a new and exciting place.
