It’s Valentines Day, and my mind is back in Prague. On the morning of the wedding, right after I got back from the barbershop but before I had put on my marriage ceremony tuxedo, I found a bright orange box with a square envelope sitting on one of the tables in my suite. Gravitating instantly to the logo on the front (hello Hermès!!), I restrained myself and opened the card first. On the front, a beautiful anchor, and inside, a message from Monika: all these years I have been her rock, her constant, and her anchor in the turbulent seas of life, and today, she couldn’t wait to promise to be my anchor for the rest of our lives. Inside the beautiful orange box was a braided leather anchor bracelet. I put it on instantly and kept in on all day. My very first Hermès jewelry piece, and with such fitting sentiment. #Blessed
